LET ME

INTRODUCE

MYSELF

How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
*George Washington Carver {1864-1943 American Scientist}

You do not need to know a lot about me. This being my personal web page, I suppose I should include a little about myself. Hopefully this will not bore you, and you will take a look at the rest of this website.

I guess you can call me an average person. I can not recall ever having done anything special or outstanding in my life that warrants a special recognition or award. My picture will never make the cover of People Magazine or Fortune,nor will you see my picture posted on the Post Office wall.

I am a truck driver of 25 years. Driving hither and yon, making deliveries of every imaginable commodity. Everything from the baby powder for your child's butt to the food you prepare for your family. I must say that I enjoyed every year of this profession. I will admit, however, there were many hard times and many sleepless nights trying to keep your grocery shelves full, your clothing store filled with the latest fashions, the toy stores filled with all of the toys your child could imagine, and even keeping the gasoline well stocked at your favorite service station so you may easily get to your job or take your family on that much deserved vacation.

I am the kind of person who will wave to your kids to make them smile, or honk the big air horn to make them giggle. I am just the kind of person who would, no matter what MY deadline is, stop and help you or your loved ones along a dark and deserted roadway to make sure everything is all right. I am the kind of person who, when on your family vacation and lost, will get you all straightened out with perhaps a shortcut or two. I am also unfortunately the first one at the scene of an accident to provide medical assistance and to alert the proper authorities, which has happened far too many times in my driving career.

I have also been blessed by seeing a beautiful sunrise over downtown Manhattan and the wondrous sunset in the Rockies. I have experienced the blistering heat of Death Valley and the nasty cold of Maine in January, all in the same week. I have seen this countries pride and joy, and also its most shameful mistakes. All this through a windshield, sitting behind the steering wheel of a truck delivering this countries needs.

I may be just an average truck driver, but I feel I am one of the very fortunate and blessed persons on this earth. I have been very fortunate to have married a loving, caring, and very supportive wife 22 years ago. One who has always been very supportive of my profession,even though I was on the road for so many years. One who held down a full time job, raised a daughter, took care of the many other responsibilities of a household, and did it all with unselfish love.

A Truckers Prayer

What is a Truck driver ?

Who is a Truck driver's wife ?

Well, enough about me. Let us get this show on the road ! Throughout this website, I want to share with you a page dedicated to my beautiful wife,daughter,and my 2 grand kids, and my Mother. Also the last company I worked for, which has become more of a family, than a company. Some serious thoughts and poems, and finally, the feelings and thoughts one has when struck by a fatal disease commonly known as Lou Gehrig disease.

It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according
to what he is, not according to what he has.
